Transport Options in Málaga & Torremolinos
Getting around Málaga and Torremolinos is easy, with plenty of convenient transport options to suit your needs. Whether you're exploring the city, heading to the beach, or traveling further afield, here’s what you need to know:
1. Airport Transfers
Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) is well-connected to both Málaga city and Torremolinos. You can take:
Train (Cercanías C1): A fast and affordable option, running every 20 minutes. It takes about 10 minutes to Torremolinos and 12 minutes to Málaga city center. If you're staying near our place, your closest station is El Pinillo, just a short ride from the airport.
Taxi or Rideshare: Available outside the terminal. A taxi to Málaga costs around €25, and to Torremolinos, about €15.
Bus: Several local buses connect the airport to surrounding areas, though they can be slower than other options.
2. Trains (Cercanías C1 & C2)
The C1 train line is the best way to travel between Málaga, Torremolinos, and other Costa del Sol towns like Fuengirola. If you’re staying near us, El Pinillo is your nearest station. Trains run frequently from early morning to late evening, making it an easy and reliable way to get around. The C2 line connects Málaga to inland towns.
3. Buses
Málaga and Torremolinos have extensive EMT (Málaga) and Avanza (Torremolinos) bus networks. Buses are budget-friendly, with fares around €1.40 per ride in Málaga. Long-distance buses from Málaga’s main bus station connect you to Granada, Seville, and beyond.
4. Metro (Málaga Only)
Málaga has a small but efficient metro system with two lines. It’s useful for reaching key areas like the university district but doesn’t extend to Torremolinos.
5. Taxis & Ridesharing
Taxis are widely available and metered. You can also use Uber, Bolt, or Cabify, which often provide cheaper fares than traditional taxis.
6. Car Rentals
If you plan to explore beyond the city, renting a car is a great option. The A-7 highway runs along the coast, making day trips easy. Parking in city centers can be tricky, but many hotels and accommodations offer parking.
7. Biking & Walking
Both Málaga and Torremolinos are walkable, with lovely seaside promenades. Málaga also has a public bike rental service (MálagaBici), and Torremolinos has bike-friendly routes along the coast.
8. Scooters & E-Bikes
Electric scooters and e-bikes are popular in Málaga, with companies like Lime and Voi offering easy rentals via apps. These are great for short distances and sightseeing.

During your stay

➊ Access
Check-In Time 15:00: Someone will meet and greet you at the apartment to give you the keys and show you around. So please let us know your estimated arrival time using the form above. When you get to the gate, dial 32 + Call. Walk to Portal 4 and ring apartment 3B, take the lift to the 3rd floor.
Check-Out Time 11:00: Whenever we can we try to accommodate a later check out if requested, however please be aware this is not always possible due to the many bookings and fast turn around we are managing.

WiFi Connection: The network is olivenet-2508A-5G and the password is m7565K4g
Bins & Recycling: We recycle glass, plastic and paper. The recycling and general waste containers are located just outside of the garage entrance.
Community Rules: Smoking and pets are not permitted in the apartment. Also please keep the noise to a minimum when you are outside after 23 o'clock to respect the resident´s privacy.
Amazon Alexa | There are Alexa speakers in the living room and each bedroom. You can use voice commands to play music, turn on lights, set alarms etc. If you are not familiar with "Alexa", after saying the wake up word, namely "Alexa" pause for a second and then say the command.
➌ Groceries
Dia Maximarket | Dia Maxi is a low cost supermarket. It is the nearest grocery store and only a few minutes walk from the apartment.
Lidl Supermarket: Lidl, the low cost supermarket is also very close to the apartment and only a few minutes walk away.
Carefour & Shops: Carefour is a large hypermarket with many shops, post office, hairdresser and food places.
➍ Facilities
Swimming Pool: The swimming pool is open from 9 o'clock to 21 o'clock. Please remember to abide by the rules displayed at the pool gate. No food nor drink is allowed in the pool area.
Paddle Court: The paddle court is open from 9 o'clock to 21 o´clock. No session can take place beyond that time to respect the neighbour´s privacy. Sessions of one hour can be pre-booked using the paper sheet at the entrance of the court.
Underground Parking: For a small supplement of 10 Euros per day we can arrange a parking space for the duration of your vacation. Please do let us know in advance, when you fill Your Preferences Form.
➎ Transport
➝ Local Train (Cercania): El Pinilo, our local train station is only 8 minutes walk from the apartment. The local Cercania serves several coastal station between Malaga City and Fuengirola including Maria Zambrano (Malaga Train Station), Malaga Airport and El Pinilo (our local station). Trains are running every 20 minutes.
➝ Malaga Airport: Malaga airport is only a 10 minutes taxi drive to the apartment. The train from Malaga Airport to El Pinilo is also 10 minutes away.
➝ Malaga Maria Zambrano: This is the main Malaga Train station with directs links to Madrid, Granada, Cordoba, Seville and more.
➏ Emergency
National Emergency Services: In Spain, 112 is the general number for contacting the emergency services. It covers all kinds of emergencies (health, accidents, situations of risk, etc.). Don't worry if can't speak Spanish because the operators will be able to take your call in English.
➝ Xanit Hospital: The nearest hospital is Xanit International, a 15 minutes drive to Benalmadena.
➝ Local Chemist: Farmacia El Pinilo our nearest chemist is only a 10 minutes walk. It is open from Monday to Saturday from 9 o'clock to 21:30 o'clock.
